Do you think this idea could save lives?
I wouldn’t ask this in fear of criticism usually but it’s important that I do.
When people ring 911/999 they have to state where they are exactly so that the emergency services can provide support, all of which takes a crucial minute or two. Would it be possible to have a small GPS chip installed in each mobile phone to relay information about a person’s location to the emergency services?
Is this a good or bad idea?
My friend works for the police and said that a lot of phones can be traced to their location. However its more like streets, not too too specific. Although there are still phones out there that can’t be traced. You do have a good idea though, this could save lives.
