What is the latest version. NET Compact Framework for Windows Mobile 6.1?

Hi, I have a HTC Diamond and tried to install a application called marathon, which uses GPS to log high runs, bike rides, etc. Every time I try to run application, I get a message error saying that it requires a newer version. NET Compact Framework installed on that device. Then try to upgrade. NET Compact Framework 3.5, but did not work, as said their was a newer version already installed on the phone. Is it possible that the application requires a later version. NET Compact Framework to work or had some updates since 3.5?
